Births Increase Compared with July last year births at Whakatane last month A; showed a decided increase. In July . 1943 29 births were registered at A the Whakatane court house while this year there were 60. Film Of All Blacks

Screening at Whakatane on Saturday for a three day session is a film of the first game of the ' All Blacks tour in South Africa against Combined Univei'sities at Capetown. Reputed to be one of the best football films ever produced it is over 1200 feet in length and after showing a few initial shots of. the New Zealand team in training and social activities, runs straight into a little over ten minutes of the actual game. This is believed to' be the' longest football sequence ever screened in this country.

The seats are constructed entirely of wood and ample room has been provided for feet space.
