Philatelic Society Has Successful Year’s Operations
The fine collections displayed during the year of airmail, Syrian and Russian stamps were referred to by the retiring president, Mr H. O. Garaway, at the annual meeting of the Bay of Plenty Philatelic Society held at Whakatane. A creditable display by members at the Whakatane' Winter Show had created much public interest. The membership of the Society has now reached 30. Officers elected:—
President, Dr A. W. Fletcher Colepast president, Mr H. O. Garaway; vice-president, Mr C.. R. Coates; secretary-treasurer, Miss I. G. Brown; auditor, Mr R. Herbison; executive, Mrs A. McLean, Miss A. Morgan, Messrs H. L. London, K. Hannah and R. Craddock.
