Thornton “Blue Baby” Has Operation

Described in simple medical language as having ,a congenital abnormality of the heart, but known to most people simply as a “blue baby”, Miss Fat Jackson, formerly of Thornton and now of Auckland was admitted to the Green' Lane Hospital last week to undergo an operation for the complaint. She is now reported to be progressing favourably. Miss Jackson underwent a similar operation some months ago, but it has had to be repeated.
