N.Z. Politicians ' Annual Bill For Salaries Is £30,000

All other Ministers receive annual salary of live in additional house allowance of £ioo a year. Under-Secretaries are paid £BOO a year, plus £2OO house allowance. The Minister of the Executive Council representing the Maori race, Mr Tirikatene, is halfway between, with a salary of £9OO a year.
The annual bill for salaries .of members of the House of Representatives is £30,000, while the Legislative Council members account for another £11,782, a year. In addition a total of £15,000 is paid as allowances to members of the House of Representatives.
