MORE MONEY FOR POLISH SOCIAL WELFARE
Bfee-4fcicd' Ministry of Industry and Trade has allotted 14,000 million zloties (£8,750,000 sterling) for the Social Welfare Fund, compared with 8,400 million (£5,250,000) last year.
Of this £4,375,000 will be spent on mother and child care, £625,000 on workers’ vacations, £262.500 on work hygiene, £325,000 on sports and physical training and £750,000 on education and culture.
The Social Welfare Fund is for the benefit of workers in industry, and their dependens. Of the fund. £2 millions goes to the coal industry, £1,875,000 to the textile, £937,500 to the metallurgical and £875,•000 to the metal industry.
