BAY OF PLENTY TEAM LEAVES TODAY Members of the Bay of Plenty representative rugby team gathered in Whakatane this morning prior to leaving by bus on tour of the East Coast and Poverty Bay. The team is to leave at 11 a.m. for Tokomaru Bay where they are to play East Coast tomorrow. On Saturday Bay of Plenty meets Poverty Bay at Gisborne and the team is to return home on Sunday.'

WHAKATANE TO COMBINE FOR AUCKLAND GAME A tour of the Bay of Pienty by ,an Auckland Colts team in September has been agreed upon by the Bay of Plenty Rugby Union for three games against combined subunions. The first match will be on September 3 against Tauranga-Te Puke-Rangitaiki combined. On September 7 they will play Whakatane-Opotiki-Apanui combined and the final match will be on September 10 against Galatea, who will combine with another union. The game against Whakatane-Opotiki-Apanui combined is to be played at Opotiki.

GAME AGAINST WAIKATO The representative rugby match between Bay of Plenty and Waikato has been finalised and will take place at Hamilton on Argust 6. This is to be a one day trip, the team leaving on the Saturday morning and returning the same day.
