Volunteers Start New Church Hall
Yesterday a start was made by a team of volunteer workers on the new Gospel Hall in Stewart Street. The hall, which is to be the future centre of Everyman’s Gospel Service activities here, has been planned for some time, but only recently has the building permit come through. The project is financed wholly by donations, and is to be carried through by volunteer labour, directed by Mr N. Tucker, a master builder who has taken time off from his own business in Taranaki to help. It is calculated it will take close on' two months to complete the job.
