Taneatua-Matawai Rail Link Will Re Completed
While he could hold out little hope of an early start on the construction of the northern rail link between Matawai and Taneatua, the assistant engineer-in-chief of the Works Ministry, Mr R. T. Smith of Wellington, said it was obvious the line would be completed when labour and materials were more readily available, stg|gs a Gisborne message.
He gave an assurance that a reconnaissance survey of likely routes would be made in the near future.
