Increase Of Names On Electorate Roll

Since the poll on gaming was conducted, 1524 more names have been added to the Bay of Plenty electorate, the district returning officer, Mr J. D. O’Brien, Rotorua, said last week. There had been a rush for enrolment before the lists closed last Monday night. Since then, over 100 cards had been received. This would indicate much stronger public interest in the national service referendum of August 3 than was taken in the gaming question.
