Borough Council To Control Dumping On Town Tip

Following inspections of the town tip it is expected that by the end of July, the disposal of refuse will be under full control and the maintenance will be such that no nuisances will be created and there should be no cause for complaint, the sanitary inspector, Mr A. R. Knights, reported to the Whakatane Borough Council this week. “I feel sure that when the trades people, carriers and the pubxic realise what the Council intends to do they will give full co-operation,” he added.

'When the new system is started anybody dumping refuse anywhere but in the place set aside for that purpose will be prosecuted.
