Breaches Of Arms Regulations
Three charges concerning breaches of the firearms regulations were heard before Mr E. L. Walton, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court at Whakatane yesterday, when three convictions were entered on police information, prosecuted by Constable R. F. Julian.
Frank Albert Christian, convicted of delivering a .38 Smith and Wesson revolver at Whakatane to Richard Angus McGill, person not entitled to obtain it by virtue of a permit issued by a police offiicer, and of procuring possession of the weapon at Hamilton other than in persuance of a police permit, was fined £1 and costs 10s on each of the charges. Robert Edward Salviage, charged with being in illegal possession of an unregistered .45 revolver, was fined £l, costs 10s.
