Trees On Domain Road Chopped Back

Overhanging branches of trees lining Domain Road had been cut back to allow passenger service vehicles to use the full width. of the bitumen surface of the roadway the Borough Foreman, Mr C. D. Molesworth, reported to the Whakatane Borough Council last Monday night. Cr R. T. Morpeth asked if some-; thing could not be done to make, the trees more attractive in giving them an improved shape. Mr Molesworth said that the trees: had only just been chopped back to give clearance to traffic. Not much attention had been paid to appearance. He suggested that something could be done to improve the appearance of the trees in the nexl few months.
