Someone Has New Scheme For Seven O’clock Sunrise
That his idea—daylight saving through a“7 a.m. sunrise”— be voted on at the coming referendum on National Service* has been urged by a Wanganui resident, Mr Al H. Larkman. He has made ', this recommendation to the Prime Minister.
Claiming that his plan would bring about a substantial-'’decrease in the general lighting load, f that increased hours of leisure in sunlight would improve everybody’s health and that there would be fewer road accidents.
He adds that the main objection he has encountered is through “dislocation of -the routine of life*
