Repairing Playing Equipment The seats, swings and other playing equipment in • the childrens’ play ground opposite the rowing shed are to be repaired by the Whakatane Borough Council. The work is in hand and is expected to be proceeded with soon. A Contented Staff
Recently a Wanganui employer addressed his staff. He said that when he entered his place of business he wanted all to. look happy and smiling. He would invite suggestions as to how that could be brought about, told the staff to write their suggestions on paper and slip them into the suggestion box. Next morning the one slip of paper he extracted from the box had written on it: “Take the rubber soles off your shoes!”
