Edgecumbe Red Cross
A recent meeting of the Edgecumbe Sub-Centre of the Red Cross showed a marked improvement in the interests of the Society at Edgecumbe. Mrs H. S. Mexted, retiring president and secretary, was congratulated on the amount of work she had accomplished on her own. Mrs T. G. Roberts was elected president, the secretary* to be elected at a later meeting.
It was decided to forward £5 to the British Red Cross Commission, Transjordan, for medical supplies. Next meeting will take the form of a sewing afternoon at Mrs H. M. Carter’|> residence, Edgecumbe.
