Old Time & Modern Dancing Popular

Old time and modern dancing was a feature of the dance held in the Caledonian Hall on Tuesday night to raise funds for instruments for the Whakatane Citizens’ Band and the new St. Andrew’s Pipe Band. Music came from the combination of Harrison’s Orchestra while extras were played by Miss D. Stewart, Whakatane. Two duets were sung by the O’Rourke Brothers. The Monte Carlo 1 was won by Mrs J. Dixon, Whakatane, and Mr L. Calder, Tauranga. The M.C.’s were Messrs G. Paterson and C. Ranby.
