Provision Of Public Morgue At Whakatane
The question of the possible establishment of a public morgue at Whakatane is to be discussed by representatives of the Whakatane Borough and County Councils and the Bay of Plenty Hospital Board at Whakatane. Jn discussion at a recent meeting members of the hospital board felt\that the hospital morgue should be only for bodies that have died in the hospital. Up to the present it has been used to receive outside bodies.
The opinion was that a morgue should be provided by the Borough and County Councils.
