Realisations At Waimana Stock Sale
Messrs Dalgety and Co. Ltd. report having held their usual monthly Waimana stock sale, when a full yarding of stock, exceeding the advertised number, came forward. All classes of stock sold readily at full late market quotations although dairy stock with a few exceptions was not keenly sought after. Realisations: Dairy cows, good quality, £lO 10s to £ls 10s; more backward sorts, £8 15s to £10; weaner Jersey heifers, small, good quality, £5 10s; forward conditioned and fat cows, £8 to £9; heavy boner cows, £6 to £7 10s; lighter, £4 to £6; heifers £5 to £6 10s; small heifers, r.w.b., £8 to £8 15s; aged ewes, r.w.s.d.r., 19s; cull lambs 20s; breeding sows £3 15s to £6 10s; store pigs to £2 18s* weaners, 19s 6d.
