Ohope Combined Committees’ Dance

Sponsored by the combined committees of- a number of organisations at the Beach, an excellent social and dance was held in,the Captain’s Cabin at Ohope on Thursday night. Those who did not fancy dancing played cards, and everyone enjoyed every minute of the entertainment.

Music was provided by. Mr and Mrs G. Mahy and Mr J. Henry, with extras played by Mrs Harrison. Mr P. Wells sang a bracket of solos and led a bright community sing. Mr H. Armstrong acted as M.C. A tasty home-made supper put the final touch to a delightful evening.

j price winners: Cards, Mrs Thomasen and Mr Wilson; booby prize, Mrs C. Pearson; Monte Carlo, Miss D. Murray and Mr R. Stanley; j lucky spot, Mrs Herdman and Mas- ! ter Marryatt.
