Taneatua Garden Circle
The May meeting of the Taneatua W.I. Gardening Circle was held at Mrs Merrie’s residence, with Mrs Fitchett presiding over a fair attendance. Routine business was dealt with and there was an exchange of gardening hints. A competition arranged by the hostess was won by Mrs Sisam. The garden was very neat and tidy. Competitions:—
Best flower: Mrs Grey 1, Mrs Hayward 2, Mrs Bennett 3. Best vegetable: Mrs Bennett 1, Mrs Hayward 2, Mrs Sisam 3. Bowl of leaves and berries for ‘effect: Mrs Olliver 1, Mrs Sisam 2, Mrs Bennett 3. *
