First Frontiersmen For Conference

First of the 200 delegates to the Legion of Frontiersmen’s annual Dominion conference started arriving at Whakatane last night. The main body will arrive today. There are to be a number of South Islanders amongst those present, including one delegate from Invercargill, and most districts of the North Island will be fairly strongly represented. Following an executive meeting at 9 o’clock Saturday morning, the conference proper opens at 10 a.m. . Following the recent appeal in the Beacon, there was no further billeting difficulty. In fact, so good was the response that yesterday there were billets to spare.
