Taneatua Card Evening

A pleasant evening was spent by those who attended a progressive 500 evening organised by members of the Junior National Party and held in the hall supper room, Taneatua.

Winners: Women, Mesdames Bennett and Semmens and Miss Clew equal. Mrs Semmens winning the cut. Men, Mr G. Bennett and Mr J. Lawn equal, Mr Bennett winning the cut.

Supper was provided and served by members of the Junior National Party. It was unanimously decided to run a series of card parties, playing progressive 500 and flag 500 alternately, the second of the series next Thursday and fortnightly 'hereafter.
