MAORI v PAKEHA TRIALS PLAYED Hockey trial games between Maori and Pakelia teams in preparation for country week at Auckland next month were conducted by the Central Bay of Plenty Hockey Association at Edgecumbe on Saturday. Results:— Men: Pakeha 3 v Maoris 0. Women: Maoris 3 v Pakehas 1. CLUB MATCHES Women: A section, Richmond drew with Huimai; Rovers 5 Taneatua 2; Paroa 2 Wairaka 1; B section, Awakeri 4 Te Teko 2; Rangers 6 Huimai 2; Poroporo 2 Paroa 0. Men: A section, Richmond 3 Huimai 0; Rovers 5 Taneatua 1; Awakeri 3 Wairaka 2. B section,. Te Teko 5 Awakeri 1; Paroa 3 Poroporo 2. Junior boys: Edgecumbe drew with Taneatua.
