Borough Waterworks Loan Approved
Notice has been received from the Local Bodies Loans Board that the Whakatane Borough waterworks loan of £25,000 has been approved. The Mayor, Mr B. S. Barry, says the next step to the taking of the poll of ratepayers then, if they approve, the calling of tenders for the work. He will be calling a public meeting soon to explain the proposition to ratepayers.
