Country Women Are Invited To Attend Holiday Rest Homes
An invitation to any country woman to visit the Women’s Division holiday and rest homes was extended at the annual meeting of the Women’s Division of Federated Farmers of the Bay of Plenty, which was held -recently at Whakatane. The homes are at Auckland, Palmerston North, Wellington, Nelson and Waimate. Full details are available from any branch secretary. There was a large attendance of delegates and members from the Awakeri, Galatea, Murupara, Te Teko, Taneatua and Opotiki branches and the meeting was presided over by the president, Mrs A. Martin, Opotiki. Officers elected:—
President, Mrs Martin; vice-pre-sidents, Mesdames Gibbs (Muru-para-Galatea) and Hayward (Taneatua); secretary, Mrs S. Cannell (Te Teko); housekeeping secretary, Mrs A. Barr (Awakeri); committee, Mesdames Arrol (Awakeri), Harty and Pryor (Te Teko) and Gedge (Opotiki); advisory committee, Mesdames Haultain (Awakeri), Hayward (Taneatua); press agent, Mrs Cannell.
The delegate from the province to the Dominion conference is Mrs Harty.
