Woman Wants One Million Men
Motherly-looking Clara Lane, New York, confesses that she would like to find one million men. She wanted them for the customers of her matrimonial bureau where business has slumped' because there are a million fewer bachelors than marriageable women.
Proposing a global manhunt, Mrs Lane said: “Foreign girls raided our man supply during the war—whv can’t we import a million men or export a million girls?”
