RUATOKI WINS NARROWLY FROM AHUWHENUA / A fast open match between Ruatoki and Ahuwhenua was played on the Ruatoki Domain on Saturday before a large crowd, resulting in ■ al narrow win for Ruatoki 6—5. The game * from its commencement was very fast with both sides showing fitness and settling down more to the rules of the code. On the Ruatoki side B. Uatuku at fullback, a promising young player, handled the ball well and used good judgment in his line kicking. The Biddle brothers and B. Maipi were the pick of the backs with Stan Hunt playing a good game among the forwards. i

For 'Ahuwhenua H. Black "and Jacob played outstanding football on the wing and five-eighth respectively with J. Blake and, Sydney Whetu among the forwards. Two unconverted tries for Ruatoki were scored by B. Maipi and Stan Hunt. A converted try for Ahuwhenua was scored by J. Blake. Mr J. Biddle was referee.
