Wedding

SIMONS—DOBSON A pretty wedding was solemnised in the Presbyterian Church, Whakatane, on Saturday for Lola May, daughter of Mr and Mrs T. Dobson, Thornton, and David William John, son of Mr and Mrs Simons, Pukehina. The service was conducted by the Rev. R. T. Dodds. The organist was Dr. A. W. F. Cole.

The bride, who was escorted by her father, looked charming in a white slipper satin gown with embroidered belt and applique round the full train which fell away from a coronet of orange blossoms. The chief bridesmaid was Miss Toma Pedersene, Auckland, who wore a soft green taffeta gown fashioned with very full skirt with double peplum and high neckline to match in red and gold. The other bridesmaids were Misses Myra Michalick, Auckland, and Shirley Farr, Taihape, who wore gowns similar to that of Miss Pedersene.

A charming flower girl was a sister of the bride, Kay Dobson. The groom was attended by Mr H. Smith, best man, and Messrs M. Deadman and T. Dobson, groomsmen.

For travelling Mrs Simons wore a grey two-piece suit with lemon accessories.

Mr and Mrs Simons will make their future home at Paeroa.
