Snow At Murupara According to visitors from Murupara to Whakatane yesterday, there had been a heavy fall of snow up that way, and they claimed that it lay as much as three feet deep in places.

Horse Laugh A certain bus driver has a neighbour who is present tender nursemaid to a pretty good steeplechaser. The other night the horseman, unable to get home before the chill night breezes started to blow., asked his motor-minded cobber if he’d mind covering the horse.
