Loyal Whakatane Lodge

The fortnightly meeting of the Loyal Whakatane Lodge took place recently, N.G. Bro. Atkinson (Jnr) presiding. The attendance was fair, this meeting being the first nomination of officers.

Fin. Sec. Bro. Jones reported that the Bowls Championship game would be held in June and it was hoped to hold the Tournament at Taneatua.

It was reported that Bro. Parsons was progressing satisfactorily. At this stage, LP.N.G. Bro. Dobson, who is leaving the district, took the opportunity of thanking members for the loyal support they had given her in her term of office. P.G. Bro. Webster, Ritual Judge, gave a few interesting hints on the Ritual Contest.

It was decided to write a letter of appreciation to the Rotorua Lodge, for the warm welcome and enjoyable evening which members experienced when attending the function held there recently.

A game of bowls concluded the evening.
