Mr C. Clark, engineer at the State hydro-electric department, Edgecumbe, has gone to Huntly for the opening of the shooting season. Mrs Clark and her daughter are on vacation at Rotorua. At the Rotorua Competitions Shirley Whyte, of Whakatane, gained first place in the Vocal Section 14 to 16 years and second place with Judy Ferguson song and accompanist under 18 years.
