Few Cattle Lost

j Surprisingly few cattle were lost by farmers during the last few days although many farms were threatened by overflowing streams. The largest number so .far lost is that' reported by Mr L. W. Sisam, Pekatahi, who had 107 head of cattle swept out of a paddock. However, up to yesterday he had been able to recover about 70 from different farms further down the river, some even three and four miles away.
