Rural Sociologist May Lecture Here
In conjunction with the farm school field days to be run in this district late this month by Federated Farmers, Miss Eva Topping, rural sociologist, has offered to spend two days here lecturing members of the Women’s Division of Federated Farmers and any others who are interested.
Details of organisation are in the hands of Mesdames S. Cannell, Te Teko., and E. C. Haultain, Awakeri, who are trying to find /out what support there is likely to be should Miss Topping come here, and what organisations would be interested in hearing her lecture on the following subjects: “Loose covers”, “fruit preserving with skin seals”, “pressure cooking”, “fabrics”, “remodelling kitchens”, “planning a home.”
If support is sufficient, another lecturer, Miss Moore, will also be available to discuss “Food fairy tales”, “natural mineral resources”, “diet and weight”, “what are vitamins?”
