Mr H. Goyle, Thornton, will accompany the party of N.Z. young farmers who are to make a tour of Australia this month. A.A. Patrol W. L. Dixon has gone to Rotorua on transfer, and has been replaced at Whakatane by Patrol F. B. Kemp, transferred from Auckland.
On annual leave Mr and Mrs McG, Bremner, of the Commercial Hotel, Whakatane, left on Wednesday for three weeks holiday. Mr and Mrs J Tait, Auckland, will replace them at the hotel during their absence. Mrs W. Sisam and Miss J. Sisam, Taneatua, have gone to Auckland to attend the graduation ceremony at the Town Hall today. Miss Sisam, who is infant mistress at the Taneatua school, gained her B.A. degree last November.
Constable O. R. Jones, who has been stationed at the Whakatane Police Station since December left on Tuesday to his own station at Gisborne. He has been replaced by Constable'V.. Tait, of Gisborne.
