WEEK-END PLAY AT' WHAKATANE A four-ball, best ball bogey competition held on Saturday resulted In a win for Pattison and Watson 8 up, the runners-up being L. D. and W. H. Luxton, 5 up. Good cards were returned by A. E. Shaw, 88— 22—66, and L. D. Luxton, 78—11— 67, who have been re-handicapped to 20 and 10 respectively. The draw for next Saturday’s event, the first round of sectional play for the Clarke and Reynolds Cups, was published in the Beacon on April 29. Members unable to participate in these competitions are to notify the Club Captain immediately. The draw for subsequent rounds of these competitions will not be published but players can as- : certain whom they are to meet by reference to the chart posted in the Club House.
