Old War Mine Found
A rusty old war mine was washed up on the beach about 150 yards past the Shelley Bay air force station in the direction of Pt. Halswell last week. When the top was taken off it was found that the mechanism and explosive had already been removed, Why the mine should have been refloated after having been rendered safe is a mystery.
