MATATA W.I. MEETING

For the benefit of those who had not attended the Eisteddfod at Edgecumbe items were given by different members of the Matata Women’s Institute at the monthly meeting. A varied selection of numbers were presented. Competition winners:— Eggless cake, Mrs Jamieson 1, Mrs Conn 2, Mrs Smith 3; bowl of' chrysanthemums, Mrs Jamieson 1, Mrs Caverhill 2; best flower, Mrs Jamieson 1, Mrs Dredge 2; best vegetable, Mrs Conn 1,, Mrs Jamieson 2.
