Section Purchased For The Taneatua Community Centre

The required section for the proposed community centre has been purchased and paid for the president, Mr J. W. Goodhew, stated in his report presented to the annual meeting of the Taneatua War Memorial Committee. He said that had been the most important work during the year. There was considerable discussion as to possible ways of raising funds and it was finally decided to invite all organisations, sports bodies and farmers to attend a Paddy’s Market to be held in the Taneatua Hall on May 20. Officers elected:—

President, Mr L. Richardson; secretaries, Messrs Chappie and A. Cradwick; committee, Mesdames E. Hall, Gardner, Semmens, Messrs A. Torrie, T. Gee, R. McGougan, W. Alexander, M. ■ Ewart, R. Ricketts.
