Awakeri P.T.A. Does Good Work For The School During Year
Much useful work had been done to help the school during the past year the president, Mr W. Bunyan, told members of the Awakeri Par-ent-Teacher Association at the annual meeting on Thursday night. There was a good attendance of about 30 present. The school had been well supplied wifh paper towels and a sewing machine. Mr Bunyan revealed that thp finances ■ were in a very healthy position with a credit of £l4. The headmaster, Mr G. Anderson, spoke in appreciation to the meeting of all the help and co-operation he had received during the year. Officers elected: —
President, Mrs E. Haultain; vicepresident, Mr A. F. Worrell; secre-tary-treasurer, Mr J. O. Fletcher; committee, Mesdames G. Anderson, J. O. Fletcher, Messrs H. Bell, D. Wilson, H. Webby; correspondent, Mr Fletcher.
