A request that the executive should give its support to the Auck- , land Chamber of Commerce, in urging the Government to complete the railway between Taneatua and Motuhora via Opotiki was agreed to at an executive meeting of Federated Farmers, Bay of Plenty Province, at Matata. A motion to this effect was put by the Opotiki branch of the Federation and was supported by the angitaiki branch. In speaking of the motion the Rangitaiki representative pointed out that considerable difficulty was experienced in forwarding stock and goods by this route.
