TANEATUA BEATS OPOTIKI Taneatua seniors defeated Opotiki City Club at Taneatua ' by 14 points to nil. Tries wee scored by B. MeGougan, Hurran and L. McCready, a conversion by Bill McCready and a drop kick by Welch. Taneatua juniors were ' defeated by Opotiki City Club by 13—5. A brilliant try was scored by Barry Chalmers who also converted.

At the practice last week it was seen that the strength of the club still lies on the side of youth, and this augurs well for its future. Training is being carried on on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the Domain after work, and Tuesday evenings at the shed.
