COUNTY COUNCIL HEALTH INSPECTOR SCHEME

A proposal by the Whakatane County Council to employ a health inspector to cover the county and the Whakatane borough, was not favoured by the Whakatane Borough Council’s recent meeting, and after some discussion it was decided that the borough was getting a good service at the present time and the new scheme would not be of any more advantage. The county scheme is to employ an inspector, available for work in the borough one day a week. Tbfe borough council would contribute a fifth of his wages, not to exceed £l6O.
