Universal Military Training Favoured By Ex-Servicemen
A resolution in support of universal military training was unanimously passed by the annual meeting of the Whakatane branch of the R.S.A. on Monday. Mr D. S. Wilson presided over 70 members. Election of officers: President, Mr D. S. Wilson; vice-president, Mr J. Stewart; treasurer, Mr L. M. Roach; auditor, Mr F. Prideaux; executive, (town) Messrs G. Otley, L. H. Brown, B. M. Alexander, K. Jarrett, J. B. Slipper (country) Messrs C. R. Wilson, N. Reynolds, G. Logan, T .H. Macken, C. R. White, ! J. T. Cain, J. H. Armstrong, H. Mexted, G. Santon, H. Wiggins.
