Whakatane Rugby Finances

With a credit balance of £67 15s 7d the finances of the Whakatane Rugby Sub-Union were revealed to be in a healthy condition at the annual meeting at Whakatane last Wednesday evening. This was brought about largely by gate receipts which, for last season, were almost a record. Representative matches netted £l5B 10s while club games collected £165 18s.

Affiliation fees during the season totalled" £22 Is and almost the same sum, £2O 7s 6d, was received in donations.

As against this on the other side, there were some big expenses, the largest being paid out in transport of £77 3s 6d. General expenses were £66 12s 8d and payments to other unions £49 13s Bd.
