WHAKATANE CLUB ENDS SEASON Much work would need to be done to the courts during the autumn the president, Mr P. Bryers, told the Whakatane Tennis Club at the closing day on Monday when presenting trophies won in the club championships. He said he hoped that members would put in the work to ensure another successful season next year. Results:— Men Championship singles: I. Wylds; doubles, E. Wilson and P. Bryers. Handicaps: Singles, L. Lovelock; doubles, G. and B. McQuene. Women Championship: Singles, Miss M. Hall; doubles, Mrs T. Hall and Miss M. Hall. Handicaps: Singles, Mrs yT. Hall; doubles Mrs Morgan and Miss C. Sullivan. v Combined Championships: E. Wilson and Mrs Morgan. Handicap: Mr and Mrs L. D. Lovelock.
