Coming Scout Rally
On April 30 the scouts of the Whakatane Association will be hosts to about 500 scouts from all over, the Bay of Plenty at the annual rally to be held at Whakatane on April 30. Scouts from, as far away as Waihi and Tauranga across to Opotiki will be in the display, which will consist of competitions of scout work. The scouts will be staying at Whakatane and at present the organisers are having difficulty in finding the required number of billets and are appealing to the public of the town for assistance. The rally is to be open to the public.
