Indecent Assault Alleged

Pleading guilty to a chai’ge of indecent assault on a young girl, aged five years, at Ruatoki on February 26, Raniera Hikawera, aged 21 years, labourer, of Ruatoki, was committed to the Supreme Court at Auckland for sentence by Messrs L. Brown and I. Hubbard, J’s. P., in the Whakatane Police Court on Monday. Evidence was given by the child’s parents, Dr G. H. Maaka and the Maori Warden, Mr P. Taipeti, and Constable G. H. Thomassen. Constable R. F. Julian prosecuted.
