QUANTITY OF MEAT STOLEN FROM TE TEKO BUTCHER
A fair quantity of ham and bacon ■was taken from the only butcher shop at Te Teko by thieves on Friday night. Nothing else is known to Jiave been removed while little . damage is reported. The panels on the front door of the shop were smashed about and it is thought that the intruders gained their entrance in this way. Judging by. the damage done to the door at must have taken some time and a certain amount of noise before the shop was entered. The back of the' shop is being used as living quarters at the present time, and nobody seems to have been disturbed during the night. The front entrance faces on to the imain road through the township. The police are making inquiries.
