New Type Roof Used In Wellington
A new type -of roof, made of pressure-treated pinus insignis, was erected recently on one of the huts at the Wellington City Council’s transit camp at Miramar. ' Made at a factory near Auckland, the roof is prefabricated in sections which are easily fitted together. The pinus insignis is curved under pressure and each portion is fitted into a notched length of 2 x 2. The roof ■cannot warp or buckle, it was stated, and is perfectly watertight, it can be painted like any other roof.
