Thirty-Eight Year Old Motor Car Is Still Working

A 38-year-old 16 h.p. Wolseley motor car, known as Sarah, parked Jm Tennyson Street, Napier, has created interest with its old-fash-ioned high seat and canvas hood. Its owner is generally surrounded by interested passers-by who want to know all about it. Mr lan Lowes, present owner, bought it in 1943, and is the third owner of this 1911 model. He has no trouble in getting a warrant of fitness for the vehicle, which has been converted recently into a light truck. It has a top speed of 40 m.p.h. and benzine consumption is about 18 miles to the gallon. The previous owner used it on a farm at Hatuma for farm work. Mr Lowes considers that as an antique Sarah’s value is about £3OO.
